Galactic empire is a simple, turn-based game: produce ships, explore the galaxy and conquer planets until there are no turns or other players left.
Each player starts with a home planet that produces 10 ships. Take a look at the map where planets are situated, who owns them and how many ships are present. Then decide how to deploy your ships. Are you going to explore the galaxy, conquer a planet and/or defend your planet(s)? Send your moves before the turn is over and wait for the result.
Unowned planets are neutral, though you can encounter some hostility, possibly delaying your efforts to own the planet and start production. The number of produced ships remains hidden until a neutral planet is owned by a player. Ships production starts immediately after capturing the planet.
Once a planet is owned, other players will have to fight to take over. Just send an amount of ships to battle with the enemy ships. But beware, defenders have an advantage over attackers. There is no difference between home planets and other planets.
Sounds not challenging enough? There is one aspect of the game that hasn't been mentioned. Once a ship is en route to a planet, it disappears from the radar until it reaches the planet. Due to the varying distances it may take several turns for a ship to reach its destination. The challenge is to figure out how the other players deployed their fleet and anticipate their moves.
Goal is to own most planets after the last turn or capture all planets and destroy all enemy ships. Please note that a player remains in play for as long as ships are en route.
Don't hesitate, just try it. Join a game and conquer the galaxy!
